This week’s drill is dedicated to 3 firefighters killed in 2002 in an auto parts store collapse. Their deaths were among the first multiple fatality incidents after 9/11 and should serve to remind us that RIT in the post 9/11 era still must be a priority. Many departments get side tracked with WMD and terrorism training. While these issues are important we cannot forget that each and everyday our departments respond to fires that can potentially kill us a couple at a time.
